TyLoo star Hansel "BnTet" Ferdinand is ruled of ELEAGUE Major Boston due to visa issues, the player has revealed.
The news comes as a huge blow to TYLOO, who are set to attend their first Major after Valve decided to expand the competition from 16 to 24 teams by including the qualifying stage in the event.
This is not the first time that Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand has been forced to sit out of tournaments due to visa issues. In March, he missed the StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 3 event, in Kiev, with WeiJie "zhokiNg" Zhong stepping in for the team.
TYLOO have not yet announced who their fifth player at the Major will be, but, with the rosters already locked, HLTV.org knows that it is likely they will have to field Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu, who recently left the Chinese team to coach HEROIC.
As the runner-up of the Asia Minor, TYLOO have been placed in the New Challengers stage, which will run from January 12-15 in Atlanta. This stage will feature the top two teams from each of the four Minors plus the bottom eight finishers from PGL Major Krakow.
I will be not attending the eleague major qual because of the visa issues, already do my best to get the visa but still got rejected. gl everyone, especially my teammates tyloo and @bondik_hr so happy for you guys ❤️ This us visa thing will not let me down 👊🏻
